M1: Justify content, distribution and marketing methods identified for the planned production to meet a client brief
What I know about my client. I know that they work for Cambridge City Council, and they want promotional content to promote their city. I also know that they are looking for things that can be distributed over the internet.
How my content will be relevant to the client. My content will be highly relevant as I am creating a poster and a leaflet and people in tourist centres, airports and taxis still pick up and read leaflets to see what they're about and see if the place they are promoting is worth visiting. A poster is also relevant as in places such as train stations and airports, you can see posters for other places in them such as you could see a poster for Cardiff in Cambridge train station. Both the poster and the leaflet are able to be distributed online as PDF files through their website or others, meeting the clients wish for the content to be distributed over the internet.
How realistic and feasible my content will be to make. I think that my content is very realistic and feasible to make as I am only creating a poster and leaflet, the only trick being is that I need to make it look as professional as possible which may prove slightly challenging. In regards to photoshop, I think my skills and knowledge of it is more than sufficient to complete the task. I also think the pictures I will take should be more than enough to promote Cambridge. I have some shots planned that I believe will fully capture the image I am trying to present.
Feasibility and realistic ways of the client distributing my product. I have found realistic and easy ways for my product to be distributed. There is the obvious put the poster up in places such as airports and train stations in different cities but you could also put the leaflet on the plane/train so passengers can pick it up and read it and think about a possible trip to Cambridge. There is also the option, which I have said earlier, that the client could display the poster and leaflet on the council website as PDF files so that visitors to the site can look and find out more about Cambridge and its culture. I see these as very realistic ways of distribution but it could cost if you are putting the poster and leaflet and another city's train station or airport and they may even not want to do it.
